The Isle of South Uist

Lovely Weather

Title: Lovely Weather
Posted by: Ian Brodie on 19-07-2012

Discussion: Hello There, I have just returned from south uist after enjoying 8 days of brilliant weather and lovely walks. Stayed at lochboisdale hotel and had a great time, enjoyed kathleen mcinnes, and wore my kilt that my mate made for me. Ran the Barra half marathon, cycled on eriskay and ate smoked salmon and oatcakes from Salar on a deserted beach, washed down by a peaty malt! Thanks to all I met and see you all soon, for more weather, whisky and wonderful beaches!

Hi Ian, Glad you enjoyed your hols. I spent a week on South Uist and really enjoyed the good weather. Stayed in Rhugasinish and thoroughly enjoyed meeting the locals. Had some great conversations with them and I also came back with several packs of smoked salmon from Salar
