McIntyre's of Benbecula

Title: McIntyre's of Benbecula
Posted by: brendon mcintyre on 20-08-2011

Discussion: Hello everyone. I am trying ti find information on Hector McIntyre, born about 1817 in Benbecula. Hector emigrated to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. His father's name was Rory McIntyre and his mother's name was Mary Ellen Maxwell. I have looked everywhere with no success at all. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the info. Can't seem to find any info on the Rory listed moving on to Cape Breton from P.E.I. Looks like the majority of this group went to Quebec?

Hello Brendon,
Google Denis Savard's "Mcintyres of Baie des Chaleurs". There was a Rory McIntyre on the brig Alexander that sailed from Scotland to PEI in 1772. I am a descendant of Neil McIntyre, cousin to this Rory.
Glenaladale settlers lot 36 PEI.
