marion Mackinnon was Selina`s mother and her father was robert mackay not sure if they stayed near or at the crooked river. Selina had a son called John mackay (seaton) I think her mum and dad came from uist not sure where the connection is.

Which marion mackinnon do you mean? Is it Mckinnon or Mackinnon? There's one at the BBC I think, who's from Uist. And another one in Iochdar but that's her married name and she's reverted to Campbell. And about 4 in Barra!
