The Isle of South Uist

Integrating

Title: Integrating
Posted by: Sally Manton on 14-10-2021

Discussion: Hello

My husband & I will be moving to South Uist in the winter. (awaiting date). We appreciate we will be incomers but want to integrate into the community. I have started doing an online Gaelic course. I Would like to hear how new movers got on and any advice appreciated. Have read on another forum (from a disgruntled incomer) who stated that locals aren't that friendly and don't want to mix with incomers. We hope this isn't the case!

Thanks
Sally
