Hello Catherine,

So nice to here from you. My father had 2 brothers named Allan - Big Allan & Wee Allan --(sounds like yours had 2 Neil's!) It is a small world indeed. Was your father in WW2? Mine was & spent much of any leave he had back in the Hebrides & also The Park Bar in Glasgow. I've visited both with my family over the years. Have you been to S. Uist? I still live in Edmonton so we get to Clandonald every once in a while to say hello to our ancestors in the graveyard. By the way, my email is cburden1709@gmail.com. Cheers for now!

Thanks Cathy Sorry for the late response but I don't go on to this site very often.
Neillie was my uncle and I believe I met your father when my Mother and I went back to Clandonald for Uncle Neillies funeral.
Father Allan also performed my wedding in 1975.
My Dad was Neil and he passed away in 1976. Mom and Dad often spoke of your Dad and being Uncle Neillies cousin he would be my Dads cousin as well. Small world!!
Father Allan passed away in 1985 in Vancouver

Hello Catherine,
I believe I may have known your father, or perhaps Uncle, Neilly MacInnes. He was a cousin of my father's, Pat MacIntyre. I grew up in Edmonton AB, & in the early 60's recall playing Gaelic songs on the piano accompanied by Neilly singing at many late night parties. Also, his brother, Father Allan, performed my sister's wedding ceremony in 1972. Please let me know if this is any help to you.
