Hi, I'm trying to find out information about McDonalds that emigrated on the ship Lucy back in 1790 to Prince Edward Island. There was a John and Caroline McDonald on board. They were prominent early settlers of Cape Breton and had 6 children: Hugh Mor born in 1778, Donald, and Malcolm being three of them. I believe they were from Boisdale or Borrodale (is that the same place?). I'm trying to find out more information about Malcolm McDonald, born 1769. He is probably the same Malcolm mentioned above, but I have no confirmation. These were Roman Catholic Clanranald MacDonalds. Might there be church records on these people there in South Uist? thank you, John MacDonald
