Karen and Calum MacAulay are now resident in the Lochboisdale Hotel. A Hotel which dates back to the 1860's and is full of charm and tradition.
The Lochboisdale Hotel is situated at the ferry terminal in South Uist overlooking the harbour, and has amazing views across the Minch to Canna and Rhum. Historically it was a sporting hotel which is evident once you step inside the building.
Island hospitality abounds and the staff at Lochboisdale are no exception. We aim to make you feel at home and comfortable, so that you may relax and enjoy your holiday.
The hotel boasts large individual rooms. 10 double/twin including a large family room that will comfortably sleep five people and 5 single rooms. All the rooms have en-suites.
We offer an extensive menu including some of the finest sea food available on the Island. All our meals are cooked fresh and feature the best of fresh local produce.
Enjoy the warmth of the Lounge sitting by a real fire and soaking up the Gaelic atmosphere. Music sessions are spontaneous most nights but there is a regular session every fortnight where local people come together and play and catch up with their favourite tunes.
The island of South Uist is situated off the west coast of Scotland. A ferry journey from Oban will take you directly to our door. However, the airport in Benbecula is just a short drive away with two flights from Glasgow every day. A short ferry trip from Skye to Lochmaddy will take you to North Uist, approximately 40 miles from Lochboisdale.
