Quality purpose built - 4 star luxury self-catering house, superbly divided into 2 luxury self-catering apartments, with panoramic views of the ocean and the hills of South Uist.
The beautiful Isle of Eriskay lies off the southern tip of South Uist in the Western Isles and is a haven of peace and tranquillity for visitors and wildlife alike. Now accessed by a causeway, Eriskay is not the remote spot it used to be - there is easy access to South Uist, Benbecula and North Uist, all of which are linked by causeways. Ferry trips can be taken to explore Barra, Harris or the Isle of Lewis. The scenery found in this group of islands is stunning and the culture unique. Fishing is abundant in freshwater “dubh lochans” and sea inlets. Eriskay is the home of Britain's rarest native pony and is also famous for inspiring Sir Compton McKenzie's story "Whisky Galore" based on a shipwreck off the coast in 1941. Bird-watching is popular here and visitors can also enjoy cycling, windsurfing and sailing.
With panoramic views of the ocean and to South Uist, these two purpose-built apartments offer a level of comfort above and beyond most, a real home away from home. Bed linen and towels are provided. Each apartment has a separate garden area with furniture and bike stands. A cot and high chair are available by arrangement. |
