Update from the Bingo fundraiser

by Kate Dawson [viewed 3955 times]

This is a huge thank you to everyone who supported the fundraising prize bingo on Saturday night. We raised over £900, which will all go towards improving the pitch at Iochdar Hall. So many people left prizes in my porch or in my car; I can’t possibly work out who donated what. Everyone donated so gladly, it makes me proud to live here.

Several businesses donated some really great prizes, thank you to: MacInnes Brothers, Tam’s Taxi, Stitch Bewitch, Hebridean Jewellery, Storas Uibhist, MacAulay’s Askernish, Mary’s café, You Can... Bake Co [Gluten free baking], JJ MacDonald, MacVicar’s taxis, Mairi MacPherson beauty therapist, Margaret MacAulay Hair Salon, Celtic football club, The Low Flyer, Lovats supermarket, QinetiQ, Rangers football club, and anyone else who left a prize.

There’s also a special thanks due to Dan and Ann who generously donated their time and expertise; they kept me right with the organisation, sorted out the prizes into suitable groups, and generally made the whole evening go with a swing.

We’ve a way to go before we have everything in place for the pitch, but with such great support, we have high hopes.

Thanks again,

Sgoil an Iochdair agus a’Choimhearsnachd.
