Do You Have Books For Sale?

Title: Do You Have Books For Sale?
Posted by: Ian McGinness on 13-03-2013

Discussion: My name is Ian McGinness and I'm going to be on holiday in The Uists/Barra from 11th to 17th May. I'm an internet bookseller (Kirklee Books), and would like to buy some books during my stay on the islands.

I'd be interested in looking at books relating to Scotland, Gaelic and Scottish literature, natural history, academic libraries, and anything else that might be classed as antiquarian, or merely interesting.

If you have anything you'd like me to look at, you can contact me on my mobile (07722983741) during my stay on the islands. Alternatively, you can phone me at any time on my business number (0141 959 0896).

Hello Mairi,

Thanks for the advice - I'll follow it up.

Looking forward to visiting in May - never been to the Western Isles before!

Sorry Ian - a postscript! There's also an e-newspaper called Hebrides News. May also be worth considering.

Hi Ian

You might want to consider advertising in the local papers Am Paipear and Island News. May well be worth it. Have passed your details on to someone on the mainland who may has modern publications - but you may find them interesting in terms of their content. Good luck with your visit!
