Title: Nick Williams - The Islands - Beinn Mhor [Graham], Corrodale and Hecla |
|
Posted by: Iain Monk on 16-06-2010 |
Discussion: Hello,
I'm coming home in a few weeks and want to take on the walk from Loch Sgiport to Usinish.
Does anyone know if there are any detailed maps of that route or, indeed, any maps or guides about walks on Benbecula or South Uist.
You can email me direct at: iain.monk@scotland.gsi.gov.uk
Thanks,
Iain |

Title: Nick Williams - The Islands |
Discussion: Iain, Hello there.
I recommend a small book by Nick Williams, just a pocket sized book and covers many of the hills of Uist - some that don't get much of a mention.
An OS map would serve you well, a 1:25,000 scale will be best. The book costs a fiver or so. This should show you a clear route to the bothie and the lighthouse. Should be easy going. You can get it off Amazon or you can get it in any Waterstones.
