Discussion: Back in May 1997 I visited the Western Isles for the first time , on a birdwatching trip. I travelled by plane, flying in & out of Benbecula & at that stage I wasn't too sure if or when I would return.
After a ten year gap I did however return & have been coming up ever since, twice annually on many occasions.
Anyhow going back to my first trip I met a young lady from South Uist, who's name I can't recall. She was working as a nursery school teacher in Edinburgh at the time & was travelling back to the mainland after spending a week with her family. We both shared an interest in running, which I know is a popular pastime on the Islands. Many years have now past but I've not forgotten her or her kind nature & would very much like to know who she is.
It's quite likely that she settled down in Scotland but who knows.
I'll be coming up for the second half of May & so if anyone can shine some light on the matter then I'd be very grateful.
Kind regards Gareth Clare.
P. S. I don't do social media & have only just discovered this site.
