Grand Tours of The Scottish Islands - BBC

Discussion: Hello - The BBC show "Grand Tours of the Scottish islands "is hoping to come to South Uist for our new series which will be filming in spring/summer of this year and I am looking to make contact with local people as part of our research process. In particular I would be very grateful if someone could put me in touch with any local historians but I am keen to hear from everyone and anyone who might have an interesting story to tell about life today on Uist or in days gone by. I do hope the native characters are used to highlight life on the island.
Having lived my formative years there, it is sad to see far too many programmes are produced, where newcomers, mostly English, dominate the issues discussed.
